Having had to wrestle with our ten-year old Church piano, we are now in a position to buy a much needed new one (Roland Electronic Piano).  This was music to the ears of Pam and Charlene and our Music Ministers.  We suggest that you let them know what you think about it  - after all, you paid for it.

MERCY:
The quality of mercy is not strained;
It  droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath.  It is twice blelssed---
It blesseth him that gives, and him that takes.
-----William Shakespeare

Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak:
O Lord, heal me, for my bones are vexed.
___Psalm 6:2

A Prayer for Priests
 and Priestly Vocations

Heavenly Father, please grant to Your faithful servants, the grace and strength to carry out Your mission for the church each day.
Keep our priests close to You and continue to inspire them to serve others in Your holy name.
Please help to inspire all who are called to a priestly vocation to answer Your call and participate in the fullness that You have planned for them.  Amen.

Prayer For Vocations Image
PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS:

Good and gracious God, hear our prayers for an increase in priestly vocations.  Touch the hearts of young men in our world today. Instill in them a burning desire to serve you.  Give them the courage to answer your call with generous hearts.
Reveal to them a vision of your Kingdom.  Help them to see the joy of priestly ministry.  Lead them in the footsteps of your Son, Jesus Christ.
We ask you to bless our seminarians and guide them on the path toward priesthood.  Strengthen them as they are educated and formed in the duties and responsibilities of the priesthood.  Help them to become faithful servants and leaders in the Church today.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns now and forever.  Amen.

A Timely Prayer

Lord, I have too much
to do,
but it’s all important.
Help me to set priorities
so that I don’t feel lost
in the pace and the pressure.
Give me the wisdom
and energy
to accomplish what’s necessary
without wasting time or effort.
And help me make
the best use
of my day,
remembering that time
from You.

SPECIAL COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND:
February 27 and 28TH --
The great needs of the Church in Central and Eastern Europe were recognized more than two decades ago with the fall of communism, and they still remain.  In most parts of the region, the Church cannot yet support its own renewal and growth.  You can give faith to a new generation through scholarships for ministry formation, social programs, and essential pastoral projects.  Please be generous in your support of the Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, and give faith to the future

PRAYER PARTNERS – 2010-2011:

We now have the printed list of Prayer Partners, and it is on one of the tables in the vestibule.  Please look for your name and your Prayer Partners name and phone number.
The idea is not to burden one another with too frequent appeals, but to ‘be there in the face of God’ on a regular basis to call down God’s blessings on this particular individual.
